Why do you love to skate? I feel like flying on the road. Especially with my 3 big wheels on my Next boots, it’s like flying on shoes like in the movie “back to the future” but on inline skates - Nothing can stop me, just chilling. With 125mm monster wheels I glide on the asphalt, over every hole in the road or every cobble stone without any probs, enjoying some nice moves, the flow and discover the city with a smile, in a super easy way.
What keeps you pushing forward in skating? I love to coach/teach skating to kids and adults. I want to share that feeling. When people look at someone who skates good, they feel like trying it to, it motivates them to work and to go skate and learn. So I missioned myself to share the knowledge and help people to find happiness on skates too. And skating is awesome to stay fit with, I really enjoy to train hard on skates, going fast on the track or straight on the flat road in a sprint.
What is your favorite place to skate? I’m a speed skater so my heart is on the track. I like to be on a banked track like in Valence d’Agen in France…. It’s like being in a skate parc for an aggressive skater, skating in the curves on the track behind one of the guys butt, just gives this crasy speed flow. But the dream is to be able to skate everyday in Barcelona. It’s the Venise beach of Europe! Just awesome. You can skate everywhere there, it’s very very ROLLING friendly. They just need a track and then everything would be perfect. Let’s go Barcelona, let’s make a track.
What is your favorite trick? I just like to go fast and then even faster, and especially in the corners of the curved track or a flat straigth road. Straight lines have always been my strong point. When I’m on my monster wheels 125mm I do like to slide over the road, with lots of speed and turn the wheels to break aka slide, but most of all going fast and cruise.
What advice would you like to give? Work your basic skills and technic always, always, always and the most important, ALWAYS have fun. If you want to discover all the fun and playfull life of an inline skater it’s important to develop all the basics so you can feel the flow on your skates, like if your where on shoes, it’s just even better with wheels. Yes baby!!
Any hobbies outside of skating? I absolutely love my dog and I’ll bring it anywhere on skates if I can. And then I do like to eat ice cream a little bit too much...Beside that, I do a loooot of weightlifting and cycling.
Do you have a life philosophy or phrase that inspires you? Not really, just living life on happiness.
Some more private questions: What is your favorite food? BURGERSSSSS… But I don’t eat lots of them, I stick to my salat and pasta.
What is your favorite drink? Honestly, I could drink water forever and especially sparkling water.
