Why do you love to skate? When I skate I feel the moment in here and now. For me, skating is therapy. Skating is traveling, meeting awesome people and, of course, skating is healthy. All these things make me love our sport.
What keeps you pushing forward in skating? The feeling of challenging myself. Every day I skate is a learning day. The fact of gaining something new always that I skate: Maybe a new trick, a new friend, a new place. Besides, all the support that PS brings me every day, makes me feel motivated, and that's super important to keep me pushing forward in skating.
What was your greatest success? I was 5 times Spanish Champion (Speed & classic) and two times 7th in the world (Battle).
What is your favorite place to skate? Nowadays, I love skating in the streets, pump tracks, and skateparks. I also love skating at places where the floor is smooth, by this way I can enjoy skating around the cones.
What is your favorite trick? My favorite trick at inline freestyle is toe sift. Besides, I love all the spinning tricks and of course, freestyling.
What advice would you like to give? Each fall means improvement. Don’t give up and keep going, caused this way you’ll get stronger than your fears and you will fly with your skates on your feet.
Any hobbies outside of skating? I love traveling, drawing and I’m learning how to play the piano. ? If eating is considered a hobby… I’m completely a food lover.
What is your favorite moment in skating? On one hand, when my family could come to see me at WRG 2019. It was the first time that my family could see me skating at such an important competition. My family supports me always and this moment was very satisfying to me. I work so hard to be part of Spanish selection and the fact of seeing my family at this event made me feel stronger than ever. On the other hand, my favorite moment in skating is when I can visit a lot of places thanks to my skates. Skating allows me to enjoy every trip so much. Since I wore my first skates, I get bored when I have to walk, hehe.
Tell us about your personal philosophy, phrase, ethic, and/or value as a skater! Yes, you can write a book…? If you chose skating as your lifestyle, you will see that you made the best decision. When I started skating, I could see all the good things that this sport brings to my life every day. I feel that I could never stop skating and that I will be that old lady with her skates 60 years from now. As I already said; skating is not only a sport, is a therapy, as meditating is. Skating brings you the chance to keep your mind on the moment. This question is paramount if you want good mental health (this one is as important -and even more- as physical health). Learning from your own mistakes/falls, learning from the others, and appreciate the other’s work. I’ve learned that it is not useful walking alone and looking just for personal interests. The beauty of life is to share the glory with others. Is beautiful to get inspired by others and at the same time, make others feel inspired by your work. For me, rollerskating is sharing, learning, and becoming a better person every day.
