The shell of the Imperial skate is made of composite material. We use fiberglass reinforced nylon material to make the shell strong and stiff. The base of the mounting blocks is big and wide which provides a large contact area between frame and boot. The cuff was designed with support in mind. It is made out of a special composite compound that is super stiff thanks to the 15% fiberglass, which was mixed into the material. The liner of the Imperial skate is made of PU leather material and some mesh applications which are soft and comfortable. We use lycra and nylon materials for the inside lining and added a comfortable innersole that provides max. comfort. Our anatomical padding is placed strategically around the ankle area, but also the tendon area of the shoe to assure the most secure ankle and heel fit. We use a mix of high density EVA foam materials for the padding, which provides maximum comfort. The Imperial skate features round laces which wrap well. There are two buckles – one placed at 45° to keep the heel in place, the other one on top of the cuff for a secure wrap. The Powerslide Gamma frame is made of 6061 aircraft aluminium and is based on a double voided construction. The extra ribs between the wheels increase the stiffness and help to lower the weight. The frame therefore is also very stiff and very well balanced. The frame comes with single axles with T25 torx head made of steel. Powerslide FSK wheels are Super High Rebound (SHR) wheels that give the skater all they need - fast roll, good grip, long lifetime. The hub with the small dots is very strong and durable construction. The size of the hub is matched with the size of wheel needed. Powerslide ABEC 7 bearings have a good spin. The bearing contains 7 chrome steal bearings and a strong and resistant steel cage. A synthitic oil from Japan is used for this bearing.
The mounting of boot and frame cross like a "X" which enables the skater to customize his boot/frame set up according to his individual preferences without any dead spots.

The typical alloying elements are copper, magnesium, manganese, silicone and zinc. The 6061 aluminium contains more magnesium and silicon which makes it easier to machine the material. It has less tensile strength than 7000 series aluminium. Important for the strength and rigidity of the frames is the heat treatment.
