The shell of the C8 skate is made of a carbon/fiberglass mix and a special textile fiber outer layer. The special layup and mix of fiber materials make the Powerslide shells very strong and rigid. All Powerslide and Core Racing shells are heat mouldable due to a special epoxy that is used in our shell construction. SHMR is also known as Super Heat Mouldable Resin enables us to heatmould the boot at any spot of the shoe as many times as needed. Our PU nanoleather upper material is soft, but very strong and resistant. This outstanding material wraps around the foot like a sock. We use neoprene and microfiber materials for the inside lining for maximum comfort. Our 3D anatomical padding is placed strategically around the ankle and tendon area of the shoe to asure the most secure ankle and heel fit. The new speedfoam used for the padding is another advanced material used in our racing shoes. This foam is soft, but not too soft to absorb energy yet very comfortable. Step in and feel comfortable from very first minute you wear the boot. The speedfoam padding does not take away space inside the shoe where you would need it, but fills up the empty spaces to give more comfort and control.
This new padding makes the boot more comfortable without any compromises in the overall performance. The C8 racing shoe features regular waxed laces. Our Universal Flap used for the 45° closure is micro adjustable on both sides. The flap is ergonomically pre-shaped and features a micro injected padding to reduce the pressure on the foot of the athlete. This new frame will be loved by skater who like very stiff and responsive frames. The Vi MAG frame is not just looking like a light weight frame – it indeed is a light weight frame! Especially the kids will love the super light weight frames that we offer now. The frame is CNC milled to perfection and features nice lazer graphics. One of the special features is the scales along the side of the mounting slots, which are also placed on the front and rear to help the skater to adjust his frame-boot set up.
The Virus MAG frame features the 195mm standard mounting. It comes with M7 standard single axles with torx head featuring first class lazer prints. The torx head has the advantage that the axles do not go round too easy compared with regular hex axles.
All frames of the Core collection have some CNC cuts around the front and rear mounting block to fit our Pitch & Stride Control.
The combination of the across slot in the frame and the along slot in our boots is called the X-Slot Mounting. This system enables the skater to adjust the boot-frame setup without any dead spots according to his skating style and preferences.Matter has worked hard troughout the season 2010/2011 on the wheel development. Every wheel of the collection has been tweaked to get the extra percentage out of every PU-compund to make the wheels even faster, and more grippier than before. Many different batches of wheels have been poored, tested and reworked and tested again under real race conditions. Different hubs and different technologies have been thrown into the pot to find the right mix. The victories of the entire team at varous race events throughout the entire spring 2011 as well as the domination at Euros and Worlds 2011 proofed that the hard work was worth it. Thanks to a great team work we proudly present the new collection of Matter wheels that is used for the 2012 speed skate collection from Powerslide and Core Racing. You can find more details about the new Matter wheel range on www.matter-wheels.com Twincam bearings are superior in quality and performance. The ILQ9 Classic features two metal shields. The ILQ9 Classic contains 6 chromesteel balls only, reducing the rolling resistance and weight of the bearing. High viscosity Kyodo grease made in Japan is used for this high tech bearing.
Skates Specifications
-
Heat mouldable
Option to customize the fit of skates by heat moulding to the individual anatomy of the skaters feet. -
X-Slot Mounting
The mounting of boot and frame cross like a "X" which enables the skater to customize his boot/frame set up according to his individual preferences without any dead spots. -
195mm mounting
Latest standard of mounting distance between front and rear mounting point of boots and frames in order to keep the gravity point as low as possible. -
WDS-lining
WDS is aka Waterdrop Supra Fiber. Dimples similar like known from golf balls and hollow fibers inside the lining material create micro air circulation in the boots providing an extra cooling effect. -
Double void
Double voided extruded frames offer one of the stiffest constructions available for racing frames and high end fitness frames. -
Stride Control
Little helping tool for better performance. Longer push for faster skating or correction of off set mal foot positions. -
Pitch Control
Little helping tool for better performance. Lean more forward for sprint races or more backward for long distance skating. -
MG Magnesium
Magnesium is the third most commonly used structural metal, following iron and aluminium. Magnesium; in its purest form, can be compared with aluminium, and is strong and light, Magnesium is 25% lighter than Aluminium at any given strength.
